India Pale Ales fueled the rise of the craft beer industry as we know it today, not terribly different from how “the Attitude Era” led by The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin built today’s version of professional wrestling.
Doug, I really appreciate the line about the industry echo chamber around IPA. The style is far from dead, and lager has about a decade more "Year of the Lager" headlines before it catches up. Great perspective on the style that still pays the bills.
On the IPA tip...are the League of Heroes packs on pause, or gone for good? Saw Rev now has a different IPA mixed 12 pack, the Hero Variety Pack, for sale.
Gone for good! My post last year was an ode to it, knowing it was set to leave after 20 issues. At some point I'll do a follow-up on the change and why.
The local brewing/local wrestling cross-over promotion with brewing characters in the ring has been my fantasy marketing event for years! You've proved the concept! Bravo! 👏👏

I enjoyed reading that great write-up by the Rev crew on the history of the League packs and intro of the Hero Variety Pack yesterday.

Incredible insight Doug! You integrated wrestling vernacular seamlessly, in true "mark" fashion. I loved it. Congratulations on a great show as well.
